Rubén Silva is a writer, poet, editor and translator. He studied linguistics and literature at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has dedicated himself to teaching at high schools and universities and also holds conferences and workshops on themes relating to education and children´s literature at a variety of fora. He has written eight books for children.

Peruvian writer and educator Jorge Eslava presents a juvenile novel where he touches on the loss of innocence and the entry into adulthood, after a harsh encounter with the historical reality of the country sets both things off. While spending a few months at her friend Valentine´s house in Andahuaylas, Sol, a young college girl, meets a group of boys collecting testimonies about violations of Human Rights for an NGO. They will invite her to join the group as a photographer and from that point on she gets involved in the reality of an armed conflict that will change her life.
